You Need Your Own Website in Network Marketing.
If you are going to be in a network marketing business you are going to need your own website. Even if your company offers you a website that they create. You want that website as it is how your customers will be able to place orders online but….. you need a personal website to promote yourself and your business.
Why you ask? I am glad you asked that question. You will NOT get new customers through your company run website! Just a fact of life in most direct marketing companies. You will not get any business from your Mary Kay or Arbonne company website unless you already have a huge client base or you immediately go out on a super selling spree. The reason for this is simple. The high earners are rewarded first for their success.
What that means to you, unless you become a Star Consultant (which in Mary Kay means you sell $1800 retail in a quarter) you will be over looked in the consultant search. And, search engines such as Google and Yahoo will not search copied sites like those that your company makes for you.
Now, if you live in nowhereville and there are no consultants within 100 miles of where you live, you will get hits on the consultant search. I am thinking most of you are not in that situation. Do not count on your company website to draw in customers for you.
So you say, “But I don’t know anything about building a website!” Neither did I. You would be surprised how easy it really can be if you get the right webhost. This is very important! Some companies offer you cheap webhosting but no support and lots of down time for your website. This is NOT good for your business. And as a newbie, support is going to be HUGE!!! They are just a webhosting company, but, their RVsite builder is very easy to use. Again, you do not need to know any HTML code, everything is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). Not to mention they do offer everything a business owner could want, including being able to have a check out stand on your website (if you want to sell a product), to adding links and google adsense to your pages.
Webhosingpad definately does not have all the bells and whistles of SBI but it they are a wonderful group of people to work with. Like I said, you don’t get all the bells and whistles of SBI, and they don’t have all the great search engine optimization you will get with SBI but, you will get an affordable web hosting package that you can start with.
Later if you want to grow your business and want the backing of the support staff at SiteBuild It, you can always choose to go with SBI later. Having your own full website will cost you anywhere from $50 - $250 a year easily. It is the cost of doing business, as I said before, you can not count on the company website to pull business in for you. Unless you already have a strong client base, you are going to need a website that can be searched and found by Google, Yahoo, or the other search engines out there.
